Claire Williams is a trauma-informed yoga instructor, proud boy mom, and fire wife based in Winder, Georgia. Yoga has been a transformative practice for Claire, offering physical relief from scoliosis. Claire has spent the last 7 years wading through a S.I. joint dysfunction.

The tools Claire learned from taking yoga practices off the mat have been invaluable in her journey with SI joint dysfunction and chronic pain. Through mindfulness and gentle movement, she found ways to manage discomfort, build resilience, and cultivate a deeper awareness of her body’s needs, empowering her in both recovery and daily life.

Her practice has also been a powerful tool for her mental well-being on and off the yoga mat. Through yoga, she has found grounding, resilience, and inner peace—benefits she strives to share with her students.

With certifications including a 200-Hour RYFT and specialized training as a Mindfulness Resilience for Trauma Recovery Teacher through the Veterans Yoga Project, Claire is dedicated to making yoga a mindful and accessible practice. Her classes are shaped by her own journey and emphasize adaptable stretching techniques over static holds, aiming to create a supportive space for others to discover their own strength.

Claire teaches a variety of styles, including Heated Vinyasa, Vinyasa, Mindful Movement, Gentle and Adaptive Yoga, and Yoga Nidra. She is thrilled to be part of Ignite Yoga and Wellness, inspiring others to “IGNITE the warrior within.”

Building on her experience as a speech therapist, the practice of yoga helped Molly gain even more insight into the profound power of the mind-body connection, and her journey blossomed into a transformative path of renewal and self-discovery, inspiring her to share the gift of yoga with others. In 2019, Molly earned her 200-hour RYT at Johns Creek Yoga and 95-hour RCYT through Grounded Kids Yoga.

As a speech therapist, working with individuals of all ages and abilities, Molly witnessed first hand how movement awakened communication and unlocked potential within her students. This insight shaped her as a yoga instructor, allowing her to guide students in bridging the connection between body and mind, helping to release tension, clear mental blocks, and restore a sense of balance.

Her business, Speaking of Yoga, is a heartfelt nod to her career as a speech therapist, and her approach is rooted in compassion, creativity, and the belief that yoga is for everyone, no matter age or ability.

Whether young or old, experienced or new to the practice, Molly meets her students where they are and provides a safe space for them to reconnect with themselves, explore the mind-body connection, and cultivate connection from the inside out, leading to greater clarity, strength, and presence. Her passion for empowering others shines through in each class, as she encourages them to embrace the joy in everyday moments and recognize we are all students in the great “Love School” of life.

Myrna’s yoga journey began in 1976 at the Sivananda Yoga Ashram in Val Morin, Quebec, where she earned her first teaching certificate—decades before yoga became the mainstream wellness practice it is today. A true pioneer, Myrna has taught Hatha Yoga and meditation in Pennsylvania, South Florida, and right here in Georgia. Her continued studies included time at the Yoga College of India in Fort Lauderdale, and she has brought her grounded, accessible approach to a variety of community and wellness settings ever since.

Since moving to Winder in 2007, Myrna has become a cornerstone of the local yoga scene. She has taught continuously at:

• Winder YMCA (2007–present)

• Athens Health & Fitness (formerly The OMNI) (2007–present)

• University of Georgia’s Ramsey Student Fitness Center (2009–present)

But for Ignite Yoga’s founder Claire Williams, Myrna isn’t just a seasoned teacher—she’s the reason yoga feels like home. It was right here in Winder that Claire first unrolled a mat in Myrna’s class, sparking a lifelong love for the practice. Myrna’s gentle wisdom, steady presence, and embodiment of yogic values lit the path that would one day lead Claire to create Ignite Yoga and Wellness.

Now, decades into her teaching, Myrna continues to inspire students of all ages with her calm spirit, deep knowledge, and unwavering commitment to sharing the timeless gifts of yoga.

BENEFITS OF HOT YOGA AND INFRARED HEAT

  • Deep Heat Penetration

Infrared heaters warm the body directly, providing a deep, soothing heat that penetrates muscles and joints. Potentially , this can help with flexibiity and relaxation. Infrared wavelengths  also may provide pain relief and enhanced circultaion, due to the way cells absorb this heat energy.

  • Improved Circulation

Encourages blood flow, helping support circulation and cardiovascular health.

Increased circulation helps mobilize fat-stored toxins to be excreted through sweat. Improved blood flow can also support lymphatic drainage, another key detox pathway that removes waste from cells.

  • Detoxification and Muscle Recovery

Infrared heat can aid the body's natural detox process by promoting sweating, which helps release impurities from the skin.

Infrared heat can penetrate the skins surface and reach muscles and deeper tissues. This cellular-level heat is thought to stimulate metabolic processes, potentially aiding the cells in releasing waste products and promoting faster recovery and regeneration.

  • Detoxing Stress Hormones

Heat exposure in hot yoga may help lower stress hormones like cortisol. High cortisol levels can affect liver function and decrease the body's ability to detoxify effectively, so stress reduction via hot yoga can indirectly support the detoxification process.
